Attach Document Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to browse the Oracle UCM or Microsoft SharePoint repository for documents. These documents are external to Contract Management, and are not part of the documents created in Contract Management. The documents you can access are based on the security assigned to them for the repository. You can then copy the documents (when using the Oracle UCM repository), or copy or link a document (when using the Microsoft SharePoint repository).

• For the Oracle UCM repository, a tree structure is built of all the files to which you have access.
• For the SharePoint repository, you must specify the root node in the Primavera Administrator utility. For more information about this utility, see the Contract Management Installation Guide for Oracle or the Contract Management Installation Guide for Microsoft SQL Server.

In the field next to this button, enter the search criteria to use, and then click this button to display the documents to which you have access that meet those requirements.

Copy selected document radio button

This button only displays when you are using the Microsoft SharePoint repository. After selecting your document, click this button to copy the document from the repository, and click the button. The document copy will be listed on the Attachments tab of the Contract Management document from which you initiated the Attach from Repository function. You can then access the document from Contract Management by clicking the document name or the icon next to the name.

Link to selected document radio button

This button only displays when you are using the Microsoft SharePoint repository. After selecting your document, click this button to insert a link to the document in the repository, and click the button. The URL for the link will be listed on the Attachments tab of the Contract Management document from which you initiated the Attach from Repository function. You can then access the document from Contract Management by clicking the URL.

How to access this dialog box:

From a document window click the Attachment tab, and then click the button. This button will not display unless the  administrator set the Contract Management project content management properties to use the Repository. See Configure the Content Repository Document and Attachment Version Feature for more information.
